"All happy families resemble one another but each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina.
Unhappiness in a family calls for changes in the family culture. This can be a daunting challenge, given the stressfull, goal driven culture of our time. The responsibility for change lies with the adults, and this inner commitment to work on family happiness can bring about changes in the younger members of the family. My approach, utilizing art and conversation, can help to shift unhappiness in young people who are struggling with change and identity questions, as well as to open communication and new resources for parents.
